Useful research report analyzing data about careers of 216 craft and art and design graduates in the late 1990s. M. Press & A. Cusworth (1998). New Lives in the Making: The value of craft education in the information age. Sheffield: Sheffield Hallam University. Available http://www.scribd.com/doc/2417983/New-Lives-in-the-Making Report offers comprehensive figures about wide range of work outcomes. Some statistical muddiness, particularly relating to records of graduates' multiple rapidly changing job profiles leaves some questions about whether there is double counting or whether many graduates part-'jobs' (particularly those that are not profitable) are simply hobbies alongside paid work.
