Robot designed to hit researcher

Sami Haddadin’s robot is designed to hit him in the face as part of research at the German Aerospace Centre Space Agency (DLR) in Oberpfaffenhofen aiming to transform industrial robots to work alongside humans with all that that implies. Sami iis testing the first industrial robot capable of sensing when it hits someone. (Assembly Magazine - referenced by ACM TechNews).
