Urgent! Mullins Prize

URGENT! Mullins Prize. Deadline - July 7th 2009. The Nicholas C. Mullins Award is awarded each year by the Society for Social Studies of Science (4S) for an outstanding piece of scholarship by a graduate student in the field of Science and Technology Studies. The prize consists of a check for $US 1,000 and a plaque.

Scholarships: Lemelson Center, USA

Funding

The Lemelson Center offers two means of financial support while using invention-related collections at the Smithsonian. The Fellowship Program has a prorated stipend for (up to ten weeks) with applications to January 15, 2009. The Travel to Collections Award offers a travel allowance and stipend for up to 21 days with applications year-round.

Research Funding: The Design History Society Research Grant is awarded twice each year to encourage debate and research activity in design history. This grant is open to postgraduates and professional scholars in the field of design history.
